BlueCat Joplin Award Winner Featured on Manhattan Connecttion
Leonardo Noboru de Lima, the 16 year old Brazilian winner of BlueCat’s International Screenwriting Prize, The Joplin Award, was featured on Brazilian talk show, Manhattan Connecttion last Sunday, June 14th. Manhattan Connection, airing for over two decades, is taped in New York City, but is broadcast in Brazil on Globo News, the first 24-hour news channel on Brazilian television. Manhattan Connecttion is one of the longest running, and highest ranking, news talk shows in Brazilian history.
The international award, which honors the best screenplay from outside the US, UK, and Canada, was presented for Leonardo’s work, GEORGE!, about an unhappy family man who faces another level of his mundane existence when he wakes up to find himself inhabiting a sitcom version of his life.
