St. Louis International Film Festival | Gordy Hoffman and BlueCat Semi-Finalist in Same Program
Dog Bowl, written and directed by BlueCat founder and judge, Gordy Hoffman, has been accepted to the 2015 St. Louis International Film Festival alongside BlueCat Semi-Finalist Chris Connolly’s short film Falling to Pieces.
Chris was a Semi-Finalist in the 2012 BlueCat Screenplay Competition with his script for Falling to Pieces, then titled Pale Blue Eyes. “The nod from BlueCat gave us the early validation that we were on the right track, and the analysis was invaluable to the script’s development,” says Chris. “It’s made quite a journey since then before getting to the screen!”
Both Dog Bowl and Falling to Pieces will screen together in the same program, Narrative Shorts: Leading Ladies, at 4:45 PM CST on Sunday, November 8th at the Tivoli Theatre.
Dog Bowl – A heartbroken girl spiraling through life stumbles on the true nature of her existence after stealing the vest off of a service dog.
Falling to Pieces – When young widow Cassandra seeks out the recipients of her husband’s organs, each meeting proves more disastrous than the last.
