BlueCat Goes to London!
Last week, BlueCat founder and judge, Gordy Hoffman, continued his transcontinental festival tour for his short film, Dog Bowl, which he both wrote and directed. Dog Bowl had its World Premiere at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and was honored with its International Premiere at the Raindance International Film Festival in London, England on October 1st.
While across the pond, Gordy made sure to meet with some of the BlueCat Community in the United Kingdom. Below are some of the highlights from Gordy’s trip to London.
Shortly after arriving, Gordy met with a group of students and aspiring screenwriters at Ravensbourne College, a digital media and design university located in the heart of London.
Next up, Gordy attended the Raindance International Film Festival screening of Dog Bowl the evening of Thursday, October 1st. It was the film’s first appearance abroad!
Following the screening of Dog Bowl, the party moved to Jewel Piccadilly, a short walk from the festival, where Gordy met with more members of the BlueCat Community at the BlueCat Screenwriters After-Party.
On Saturday, October 3rd, Gordy held a BlueCat Screenwriting Workshop, also at Ravensbourne College. The BlueCat Workshops provide an opportunity to receive unbiased, professional feedback on your script from both Gordy and your peers.
Founded in 1998, the BlueCat Screenplay Competition seeks to develop and discover unknown screenwriters. For 2016 BlueCat Screenplay Competition submission information, click here.
