The long holiday weekend couldn’t revive the box office this week with one of the worst Labor Day outcomes in years. Christian faith based drama War Room took the top spot, beating out the surprise hit of the summer, Straight Outta Compton, which was number one for three weekends in a row.

War Room took in a respectable $9.5 million over three days and ended the long weekend with $13.4 million. N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton fell to second place in its fourth week with a three day haul of $8.6 million and $10.8 million over four days. With a production budget of $28 million, Straight Outta Compton has defied expectations, making nearly $150 million in its run so far.

A Walk in the Woods and The Transporter Refueled both opened modestly this weekend. A Walk in the Woods stars Robert Redford, Nick Nolte, and Emma Thompson and follows two friends hiking the Appalachian Trail. It took in $8.2 million over three days and $11.0 million over four days. The Transporter Refueled continues the franchise sans Jason Statham with Ed Skrein stepping into the role. The reboot stumbled, pulling in a disappointing $7.4 million over three days and $9.0 million over four, leaving the future of the franchise in question. Poor reviews from critics likely didn’t help the numbers. The film’s aggregated Rotten Tomatoes score is currently at 16%.

Continuing a strong run, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation rounds out the top five with $7.2 million over three days and $9.4 million over four days in its sixth week.
